Bill Cantrell

Bill Cantrell, an American driver born in 1908, made a single World Championship start in 1950 at the wheel of an Adams. His appearance came at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960, an arrangement that brought many American oval-racing specialists into the championship record books.

Cantrell did not score points and was unclassified in the final standings, and his one start in the championship's inaugural season remained his only entry in the series.
