Joie Chitwood

Joie Chitwood, an American driver born in 1912, made one World Championship start, at the Indianapolis 500 in 1950 — the race counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960, placing him in the championship's inaugural season.

Driving a Kurtis Kraft, Chitwood scored a championship point and was classified 22nd in the first-ever drivers' standings, a distinction few one-start drivers can claim.
