About Paul Goldsmith

Paul Goldsmith was an American driver born in 1925 whose three World Championship starts all came at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960. He appeared in three consecutive seasons from 1958 to 1960, first in a Kurtis Kraft and then in an Epperly.

After a pointless debut in 1958, his Epperly years were productive: two points and nineteenth in the championship in 1959, then four points and seventeenth place in 1960. His record also credits him with a podium finish.

Six points and a podium from three starts made Goldsmith one of the more effective of the American oval-racing contingent whose Indianapolis results filtered into the Formula 1 record books during the championship's first decade.
