Timmy Mayer

Timmy Mayer, an American driver born in 1938, made one World Championship start, driving a Cooper-Climax in 1962 at the age of 24.

Unlike most American entries of the previous decade, whose championship appearances came through the Indianapolis 500, Mayer's start was made in conventional Grand Prix machinery. The race brought no points, and it remained his only appearance in the Formula 1 World Championship.
