David Piper

David Piper, a British driver born in 1930, made three World Championship starts with Team Lotus across the 1959 and 1960 seasons. He came to Formula 1 towards the end of the sport's first decade, driving for the young Lotus marque at a time when British constructors were reshaping the front of the grid.

His appearances brought no championship points, and he was not classified in the standings in either year. After 1960 his name did not appear again at World Championship level, leaving a brief two-season record with a single team.
