Alan Stacey

Alan Stacey, a British driver born in 1933, made seven Formula 1 World Championship starts between 1958 and 1960, all of them for Team Lotus. He debuted at twenty-four and remained with the Lotus works operation for the whole of his Grand Prix career.

His three seasons coincided with Lotus's formative years in Formula 1, before the team had matured into a championship-winning force, and his outings did not produce championship points.

Stacey's record therefore stands at seven starts across three seasons, notable for its complete association with a single team: no other driver record in the period is more purely a Team Lotus story.
