About Fabrizio Barbazza

Fabrizio Barbazza was an Italian driver whose Formula 1 career consisted of a single season with Minardi in 1993, during which he made eight starts. Born in 1963, he was around 30 years old when he lined up for the small Italian team.

Despite Minardi's modest resources, Barbazza managed to score two championship points that year — a notable achievement under the scoring system of the time, which rewarded only the top six finishers. Those results placed him nineteenth in the 1993 Drivers' Championship.

His campaign remained his only one at this level, but leaving Formula 1 with points on the board from just eight starts in back-of-the-grid machinery stands as a respectable return for such a brief career.
