About David Brabham

David Brabham is an Australian racing driver and the youngest son of three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jack Brabham. Born on 5 September 1965, he carried one of motor racing's most famous surnames into Formula 1 in the early 1990s before going on to build a distinguished career in sports car and endurance racing.

His Formula 1 record spans 24 starts without a points finish, divided between two campaigns. In 1990 he drove for the Brabham team that still bore the family name, and in 1994 he raced for the new Simtek squad, a difficult and tragic season for the small outfit. Competing in uncompetitive machinery, he was unable to register a podium, win or pole in the championship.

Brabham's greatest successes came away from Formula 1, where he established himself as a world-class endurance racer. His grand prix tenure, though it yielded no points, made him part of a unique three-generation Formula 1 dynasty alongside his father Jack and brothers Geoff and Gary in wider motorsport.
