Adolf Brudes

Adolf Brudes, a German driver born in 1899, made one World Championship start, driving a Veritas in the 1952 season. At fifty-two years of age he was among the oldest drivers to appear in the championship, a product of the era when the German Veritas marque gave a generation of pre-war racers a route into Grand Prix competition. His single appearance yielded no points and marked both the beginning and the end of his World Championship record.
