The 1952 Season
With Alfa Romeo gone and few competitive cars available, the championship was run to Formula Two regulations, and Ferrari's Alberto Ascari was utterly dominant. Ascari won every single round he entered, taking six straight victories to claim his first world title with ease in the sleek Ferrari 500.
Ascari missed the opening Swiss Grand Prix while preparing for the Indianapolis 500, yet still wrapped up the championship comfortably. His command of the F2-era field marked the start of one of the most dominant stretches in early F1 history.
