Karun Chandhok

Karun Chandhok is an Indian driver who made eleven Formula 1 starts across the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

He debuted in 2010 with the newly struggling HRT operation at the age of 26, completing the bulk of his championship outings that year and classifying 22nd in the standings without scoring. The car's lack of pace left little opportunity for points, and his season ended before the calendar did.

In 2011 Chandhok appeared for Lotus, but his role yielded only limited race opportunities and he was classified 28th in the championship, again without points.

His statistical record — eleven starts, no points, no podiums — reflects two seasons spent entirely with teams at the back of the grid, where finishing races rather than scoring was the realistic measure of a weekend's work.
