Bill Cheesbourg

Bill Cheesbourg, an American driver born in 1927, made three World Championship starts between 1957 and 1959. All of his appearances came at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960.

He drove Kurtis Kraft chassis in 1957 and 1958 before switching to a Kuzma for his final championship appearance in 1959.

None of his three starts yielded points or a championship classification, and his name stands in the Formula 1 records alongside the many American oval-racing drivers whose careers intersected with the championship only through the Indianapolis race.
