Bob Drake

Bob Drake, an American driver born in 1919, made a single World Championship Grand Prix start, which came in 1960 at the wheel of a Maserati. He was forty years old at the time of his lone appearance — a notably late debut — and the outing produced no championship points. That one start in the final year of the sport's front-engined era constitutes his entire Formula 1 record, distinguishing him from most of his American contemporaries, whose championship appearances came at the Indianapolis 500.
