About Frank Gardner

Frank Gardner, an Australian driver born in 1930, made eight World Championship starts across the 1964 and 1965 seasons. He arrived in Formula 1 in his early thirties, campaigning Brabham machinery throughout his brief spell at the top level.

His first season, in 1964, was spent with a Ford-powered Brabham, while the following year he switched to the Brabham-BRM combination. Neither year yielded championship points, and he was unclassified in the final standings on both occasions.

Two seasons and eight starts without a score placed Gardner among the many drivers of the mid-1960s who found points hard to come by in customer and privateer equipment. His World Championship career closed after 1965, having spanned just two years.
