Elmer George

Elmer George was an American driver born in 1928 whose single World Championship start came in 1957 at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960. Driving a Kurtis Kraft, one of the dominant oval-racing chassis of the period, he finished outside the points and was unclassified in that year's standings. That lone appearance represents the entirety of his Formula 1 record.
