Dick Gibson

Dick Gibson, a British driver born in 1918, made two World Championship starts, one in 1957 and one in 1958, both at the wheel of a Cooper.

Neither appearance yielded championship points and he was unclassified in the standings in both years. His brief Formula 1 record — two starts in consecutive seasons, made when he was approaching forty — is typical of the British privateers who filled out Grand Prix grids in the late 1950s.
