Jean-Marc Gounon

Jean-Marc Gounon, a French driver born in 1963, made nine Formula 1 starts across the 1993 and 1994 seasons, racing for two of the grid's smallest teams.

He debuted with Minardi at the end of 1993, at the age of thirty, and moved to the fledgling Simtek operation for 1994. Neither car offered any realistic prospect of points, and he went unclassified in the standings in both years.

His nine starts without a score reflect the machinery at his disposal rather than a lack of persistence: both Minardi and Simtek occupied the back of the field in the early 1990s, and Gounon's Formula 1 career ended after those two part-seasons.
