About Jimmy Jackson

Jimmy Jackson, an American driver born in 1910, is credited with two World Championship starts, in 1950 and 1954, both in Kurtis Kraft machinery. His appearances came at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960.

Like most of the American oval-racing specialists of the period, Jackson never contested the European rounds of the championship. His two Indianapolis starts, separated by a four-year gap, yielded no points, but they place him in the official records of the World Championship's inaugural decade.
