Pedro Lamy

Pedro Lamy, a Portuguese driver born in 1972, competed in Formula 1 from 1993 to 1996, making 32 starts for two teams and scoring a single championship point.

He arrived with Team Lotus in 1993 at the age of 21 and continued with the team into 1994, though neither season brought points. For 1995 he moved to Minardi, and it was there that he registered his sole point, enough for eighteenth place in that year's drivers' standings.

A point for Minardi in that era was a genuinely scarce commodity, as the small Italian team rarely troubled the top six under the scoring system of the day. Lamy stayed with Minardi for 1996, his fourth and final season, before his World Championship career came to a close with 32 starts across four consecutive years.
