Neville Lederle

Neville Lederle, a South African driver born in 1938, made two World Championship starts with a Lotus-Climax, and remarkably scored on his first attempt: his 1962 appearance brought a championship point and nineteenth place in that year's drivers' standings.

A single point from so short a career was a notable return under the scoring system of the time, when only the top six finishers were rewarded. His second and final start came in 1963, after which his Formula 1 record closed at two races, one point.
