The 1963 Season
Jim Clark and Lotus achieved a season of utter domination, with Clark winning a then-record seven of the ten Grands Prix to take his first world title in commanding fashion. The brilliant Scot and Colin Chapman's elegant, innovative Lotus 25 monocoque were in a class of their own.
Clark wrapped up the championship with races to spare, and Lotus took its first Constructors' Championship. The pairing of Clark and Chapman was now established as the benchmark of Formula One.
