Bill Mackey

Bill Mackey, an American driver born in 1927, is credited with a single World Championship start, in 1951 with a Hall chassis. Like most American drivers of the period, his appearance came at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960.

The start, made when Mackey was 23, brought no championship points and remained his only entry in the World Championship record books.
