Michael May

Michael May, a Swiss driver born in 1934, made four World Championship starts, all during the 1961 season at the wheel of a Lotus-Climax.

The campaign brought no points, and May did not return to the championship grid afterwards. His Formula 1 driving record is therefore compact: one season, one car, four starts, at the age of 26.

A Swiss driver in a field then dominated by British and Italian entries in nationality terms, May left the championship without points, podiums or poles; his brief 1961 campaign remains his complete Grand Prix statistical record.
