About Mauri Rose
Mauri Rose was an American driver born in 1906 who is credited with two World Championship starts, in 1950 and 1951, both driving a Deidt. His appearances came at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship between 1950 and 1960.
His 1950 outing was a strong one, yielding a podium finish, four points and twelfth place in the inaugural World Championship standings — a result few of the Indianapolis regulars matched. He went unscored in 1951, already in his mid-forties, and did not appear in the championship again.
