Dorino Serafini

Dorino Serafini, an Italian driver born in 1909, made a single World Championship start, but it was a remarkably productive one: driving for Ferrari in 1950, the championship's inaugural season, he finished on the podium and scored three points.

That result was enough to classify him thirteenth in the drivers' standings for 1950, giving him the unusual distinction of a one hundred per cent podium record from his one Grand Prix start. Already in his early forties by then, Serafini did not race in the World Championship again, and his career remains one of the most efficient single-start records in the sport's history.
