Tony Settember

Tony Settember, an American driver born in 1926, made nine Formula 1 World Championship starts over two seasons in the early 1960s. He came to Grand Prix racing relatively late, debuting in 1962 at around thirty-five years of age with the small Emeryson concern.

For 1963 he switched to Scirocco, another of the tiny British-based constructors operating at the back of the field in that period. Neither team gave him machinery capable of troubling the points positions.

Settember's championship record therefore shows nine starts, no points and no classified standing in the drivers' table across his two seasons, a career spent entirely with underdog outfits far from the front of the grid.
