John Taylor

John Taylor, a British driver born in 1933, made five Formula 1 World Championship starts in the mid-1960s. He first appeared in 1964 at the wheel of a Cooper-Climax, without scoring.

Returning in 1966 with a Brabham-BRM, Taylor picked up a single championship point, which placed him twentieth in that year's standings. Under the scoring system of the time, which rewarded only the top six finishers, even one point represented a solid achievement for a driver in privateer equipment.

His career closed with that 1966 campaign, leaving a record of five starts, one point and two seasons of participation separated by a year away from the championship.
