Esteban Tuero

Esteban Tuero, an Argentine driver born in 1978, contested a single season of Formula 1, making sixteen starts for Minardi in 1998. He was only nineteen years old when the season began, one of the youngest drivers to embark on a full Grand Prix campaign at that time.

Driving for the perennial backmarkers from Faenza, Tuero finished the year without championship points, an unsurprising outcome given Minardi's position at the rear of the late-1990s grid. He recorded no podiums, poles or fastest laps.

His Formula 1 career began and ended with that one campaign, making him a distinctive figure: a teenage Argentine debutant whose sixteen starts all came in the same season. He remains one of the few drivers from Argentina to have raced in the championship during the 1990s.
