Ricardo Zonta

Ricardo Zonta, a Brazilian driver born in 1976, made 37 World Championship starts across five seasons between 1999 and 2005. He entered Formula 1 with BAR at the age of 23, spending two years with the team during its formative period.

His second season, 2000, was the most productive of his career: three points and fourteenth place in the World Championship, which stood as his only points-scoring campaign. Under the top-six scoring of the era, those results represented solid work in midfield machinery.

A move to Jordan for 2001 brought no points, and Zonta then spent two years away from the championship before returning with Toyota, for whom he made starts in 2004 and 2005. Neither Toyota season added to his tally, though he was classified 22nd in the 2004 standings.

His Formula 1 record closed with three points from 37 starts, earned entirely during the 2000 season with BAR.
