Ronnie Bucknum

Ronnie Bucknum, an American driver born in 1936, holds a distinctive place in Formula 1 statistics as a Honda driver for the entirety of his championship career, which ran from 1964 to 1966 and comprised eleven Grand Prix starts.

He made his debut at twenty-eight in 1964, the year Honda entered Grand Prix racing, and remained with the Japanese manufacturer throughout its early campaigns.

His best season came in 1965, when he scored two championship points and was classified fifteenth in the drivers' standings — the only points of his career, and a hard-earned result at a time when just the top six finishers scored.
