John Cannon

John Cannon, a Canadian driver born in 1933, made a single World Championship start, driving for BRM in 1971. Arriving in Formula 1 at around 38 years of age, he did not score points in his lone appearance, and the 1971 season remained his only entry in the championship record books.

Brief as it was, that one start with BRM places Cannon among the small group of Canadian drivers to have competed at the top level of the sport during the early 1970s.
