Érik Comas

Érik Comas was a French driver who competed in Formula 1 from 1991 to 1994, making sixty starts across four seasons split evenly between two French teams.

He debuted with Ligier in 1991 at the age of 27 but failed to score in his rookie year. The 1992 season was his best: four points for Ligier and eleventh place in the drivers' championship.

Comas then moved to Larrousse for 1993 and 1994, adding a point in the first year and two more in the second, classifying 21st and 23rd in the standings as the small team fought in the midfield and below.

His career closed at the end of 1994 with seven championship points, no podiums and no pole positions from his sixty starts — points in three consecutive seasons being a fair return given the machinery he drove.
