Ken Downing

Ken Downing, a British driver born in 1917, entered two World Championship Grands Prix in 1952, driving a Connaught. His brief championship career came in the early years of the World Championship, when British privateers and small constructors like Connaught were beginning to establish themselves in Grand Prix racing. Downing was thirty-four at the time of his two starts, which brought no championship points, and 1952 remained his only season at this level.
