Nasif Estéfano

Nasif Estéfano, an Argentine driver born in 1932, made four World Championship starts across two seasons separated by a three-year gap. His debut came in 1960, at the age of twenty-seven, driving a Maserati in the final days of the Italian marque's front-engined Grand Prix cars.

He returned to the championship in 1963 with De Tomaso, but neither spell produced World Championship points.

Estéfano's brief, split career — two teams, two seasons, four starts — was characteristic of the Argentine privateers who appeared intermittently in the championship after their country's golden era at the front of the field had passed.
