Gerino Gerini

Gerino Gerini, an Italian driver born in 1928, made six World Championship starts across the 1956 and 1958 seasons, all in Maserati machinery.

His debut year proved his most successful: in 1956 he scored championship points — a notable achievement under a system that rewarded only the leading finishers — and was classified twenty-fifth in the standings. A share of one and a half points from that campaign accounts for his career tally.

After sitting out 1957 he returned for a second Maserati campaign in 1958, but no further points followed and he went unclassified. His Formula 1 record closed at six starts, two seasons and a small but hard-earned points score.
