Joe James

Joe James, an American driver born in 1925, made two World Championship starts in 1951 and 1952. Both came at the Indianapolis 500, which formed part of the Formula 1 World Championship between 1950 and 1960.

He drove a Watson in 1951 and a Kurtis Kraft the following year, two of the prominent American oval-racing chassis of the era. Neither appearance brought points, and those two Indianapolis outings represent the whole of his Formula 1 record.
