Jo Schlesser

Jo Schlesser, a French driver born in 1928, made two World Championship starts, one in 1967 with Matra and one in 1968 with Honda. He came to Formula 1 late, making his Grand Prix debut at the age of thirty-nine.

Both of his appearances came with manufacturer teams, first the French Matra concern and then Honda, but neither start yielded championship points. Those two races in consecutive seasons of the late 1960s constitute his complete Formula 1 record.
