About Christian Klien
Christian Klien, an Austrian driver born in 1983, competed in Formula 1 across four seasons between 2004 and 2010, making fifty-one Grand Prix starts and scoring fourteen championship points. His teams were Jaguar, Red Bull and HRT.
He entered the championship with Jaguar in 2004 at the age of twenty-one, scoring three points as a rookie. When the team became Red Bull for 2005, Klien stayed on and enjoyed his best season, taking nine points and fifteenth in the drivers' standings.
A second Red Bull campaign in 2006 brought two further points before his spell as a race driver ended. He returned to the grid four years later, in 2010, for a handful of appearances with the new HRT team, which yielded no points.
Klien's Formula 1 record closed after that 2010 comeback: fifty-one starts, fourteen points, and a career bracketed by a promising start with the Jaguar and Red Bull operation and a brief coda at the back of the field.
