Arthur Legat

Arthur Legat, a Belgian driver born in 1898, was among the oldest competitors to appear in the World Championship, making his two starts in 1952 and 1953 with Veritas machinery when he was already in his mid-fifties.

Neither appearance brought points, but his participation stands as a small artefact of the championship's early years, when the grids still had room for veteran privateers of an earlier racing generation.
