About Chet Miller
Chet Miller was an American driver whose two World Championship starts came at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960. Born in 1902, he was approaching fifty when he made his first championship-era start in a Kurtis Kraft in 1951, making him one of the oldest competitors in the Formula 1 record books.
He appeared again in 1952, though neither start brought championship points. Miller's brief presence in the standings is a reminder of the veteran American oval specialists whose Indianapolis exploits earned them a place in Formula 1 history.
