Shinji Nakano

Shinji Nakano, a Japanese driver born in 1971, made thirty-three Formula 1 starts across the 1997 and 1998 seasons. He debuted with the Prost team before moving to Minardi for his second year.

The 1997 campaign with Prost brought both of his career points, placing him eighteenth in the championship. Under the scoring system of the time, each of those points represented a top-six finish.

His 1998 season with Minardi, then the smallest team on the grid, passed without a points finish, and his Formula 1 career ended when the year did.
