Dennis Poore

Dennis Poore, a British driver born in 1916, made two World Championship starts for Connaught in the 1952 season. Despite the brevity of his campaign, he scored three points and was classified fourteenth in the drivers' championship — a notable return from just two outings under a scoring system that rewarded only the top finishers. Points for the small British Connaught concern were rare currency in 1952, which makes his tally from so short a career all the more striking. He did not appear at World Championship level again.
