Consalvo Sanesi

Consalvo Sanesi, an Italian driver born in 1911, made five World Championship starts for Alfa Romeo across the 1950 and 1951 seasons, the two years in which the Milanese marque contested the new championship. He was in his late thirties when the series began.

While his 1950 outings brought no points, he scored three in 1951, enough for twelfth place in that year's drivers' standings — a respectable return in an era when points extended only to the top five finishers. When Alfa Romeo's involvement ended after 1951, so did Sanesi's World Championship career, his record standing at five starts and three points, all in the service of a single team.
