Carl Scarborough

Carl Scarborough was an American driver born in 1914 who made two World Championship starts, in 1951 and 1953, both driving Kurtis Kraft chassis. His appearances came at the Indianapolis 500, which counted toward the Formula 1 World Championship from 1950 to 1960.

Already in his late thirties by his first start, he scored no points in either appearance, and his championship record ends with the 1953 outing — two starts, three years apart, entirely within the American oval-racing contingent of the era.
