Charles de Tornaco

Charles de Tornaco, a Belgian driver born in 1927, made two Formula 1 World Championship starts, both in 1952 driving Ferrari machinery. He was twenty-five during his championship season.

Neither start brought points, and his record closed after that single year of participation. He raced in an era when privately entered Ferraris were a common sight on World Championship grids, giving amateur and semi-professional drivers their chance to compete alongside the works teams.
