Pascal Wehrlein

Pascal Wehrlein, a German driver born in 1994, competed in Formula 1 in 2016 and 2017, making 39 World Championship starts. He debuted with Manor Marussia at the age of 21 and managed to put the small team on the scoreboard, taking a single point that placed him nineteenth in the 2016 championship.

For 2017 he moved to Sauber, where he added five points and finished eighteenth in the standings. Scoring for two teams at the tail of the grid, in an era when points extended only to tenth place, required extracting results that the machinery rarely offered.

His Formula 1 record closed after two seasons with six points from 39 starts. Wehrlein's stint was brief but productive relative to his equipment, with points registered in both of his campaigns.
