About Manor Marussia

Manor was the final identity of the back-of-grid team that had begun in 2010 as Virgin and then raced as Marussia. Having survived administration, the team returned, against considerable odds, as Manor Marussia for 2015 and continued as Manor Racing in 2016.

The team's perseverance was rewarded at the 2016 Austrian Grand Prix, where Pascal Wehrlein finished tenth to score a precious point, lifting Manor temporarily clear of the bottom of the constructors' table. It was a hard-won reward for a team that had battled for survival for years.

Financial backing finally ran out, and Manor went into administration and out of Formula 1 at the start of 2017, ending the long story of the 2010 newcomer.

Key Achievements

  • Scored a point with Wehrlein's tenth place at Austria 2016

  • A symbol of perseverance against financial adversity

Legacy & Identity
