Justin Wilson

Justin Wilson, a British driver born in 1978, competed in Formula 1 in 2003, making sixteen World Championship starts in his single season at the top level. He began the year with Minardi before moving to Jaguar during the same campaign, giving him experience of two teams within one championship.

His season brought a single point, which placed him twentieth in the 2003 World Championship. Under the scoring system of the day, which paid points only to the top eight finishers, that result required beating a substantial portion of the field.

Sixteen starts in a year made his the busiest kind of single-season career, and the mid-year switch from one of the grid's smallest teams to a manufacturer-backed operation marked him as a driver whose stock rose as the season progressed.

Nevertheless, 2003 remained his only Formula 1 campaign, and his championship record closed at one point from sixteen starts.
