Esteban Ocon

Esteban Ocon is a French racing driver born on 17 September 1996. A product of a fiercely competitive karting generation, he won the 2014 FIA European Formula 3 title ahead of Max Verstappen and the 2015 GP3 Series championship before reaching Formula 1. Over 187 starts he has amassed 477 points, one victory and four podiums.

Ocon debuted with Manor in 2016 and spent two seasons at Force India, where he scored regularly and finished a career-best eighth in 2017 on 87 points. After a year on the sidelines in 2019 he joined Renault, which became Alpine, and on 1 August 2021 he won the chaotic Hungarian Grand Prix for his maiden F1 victory. He remained an Alpine fixture through 2024 before moving to Haas for 2025.

In 2026 Ocon races for Haas alongside fellow rookie-era talent Oliver Bearman. After nine rounds he sits 17th in the standings on 3 points as the American team battles in the lower midfield.

Ocon is an aggressive, opportunistic racer known for his strong qualifying pace and willingness to fight hard wheel-to-wheel. His Hungary 2021 win, seized from a dramatic first-lap pile-up and defended for the full distance, remains the defining result of a career built on French junior pedigree and relentless competitiveness.
