Cliff Allison

Cliff Allison, a British driver born in 1932, competed in the World Championship from 1958 to 1961, making 17 starts and scoring eleven points, including one podium finish. He began his career with Team Lotus in 1958, scoring three points in the marque's first championship season, before moving to Ferrari for 1959.

The switch to Maranello brought his best results. He scored two points in 1959 and then six in 1960, when he was classified thirteenth in the championship, his highest final position. His podium came during this productive spell of his career.

Allison returned to Lotus-Climax machinery for 1961, but that final season brought no points and closed his Formula 1 record. Four seasons, four team entries, and a career that peaked with Ferrari make up the account of a driver who scored in three of his four championship years.
